OKLAHOMA CITY (July 2, 2026) - The Women’s Premier Soccer League honors Alexis Dendis, Brooke Garder, and Phoebe Carver with National Players of the Week accolades from Week Eight performances, presented by Global Scarves, the exclusive personalized merchandise partner of the Women’s Premier Soccer League.
University of Oklahoma’s Alexis Dendis propelled STA to a pair of victories on the strength of a six-goal contribution in the final week of the season, while Brooke Gardner of the University of Utah anchored Black Diamond FC’s defense to claim first Wasatch title. Purdue’s Phoebe Carver earned a clean sheet in Arlington SA’s regular-season final to secure a berth in Atlantic Conference championship.
Alexis Dendis led STA to two wins in back-to-back games to close out its final week of 2026. The University of Oklahoma sophomore contributed to six of STA’s nine goals on the weekend, accounting for five goals and an assist to secure her as National Offensive Player of the Week..
Dendis scored an impressive four goals on Saturday against SUSA FC, including a first-half hat trick, while adding an assist in the dominant performance. The next day, Dendis scored her ninth goal of the season in STA’s 3-1 win over New York Dutch Lions FC to tie her as the Metropolitan’s leading scorer in regular season.
Brooke Gardner defensive heroics in the Wasatch Division finale in Week Eight led Black Diamond FC to its first division title, securing National Defensive Player of the Week honors.
The University of Utah sophomore helped Black Diamond to two big wins, outscoring City SC Utah and La Roca FC nine to zero to collect the team’s fifth shutout of the season. Black Diamond finished the season with seven wins, six points clear at the top of the Wasatch table.
Purdue University junior Phoebe Carver earns National Goalkeeper of the Week after a strong 90 minutes in goal of Arlington SA's final regular season game, making four crucial saves to keep District Elite FC off the score sheet for, Arlington’s second shutout of the season. Carver’s goaltending efforts helped Arlington secure its first The District Division title and spot in the Atlantic Conference Championship.
