OKLAHOMA CITY – The Women’s Premier Soccer League has announced the schedule for the Lake Michigan Conference today for the upcoming 2021 season. The newly created conference formed as a result of the 2021 alignment, consisting of six teams based in Chicago, Green Bay, and Milwaukee – some of which have been realigned from the Ohio Valley Conference in the East Region.

The Lake Michigan Conference is represented by Chicago City Soccer Club, Chicago Dutch Lions FC, Chicago Red Stars Reserves, Green Bay Glory, Milwaukee Bavarian SC, and Milwaukee Torrent.

The conference will feature two new teams, Chicago Dutch Lions FC – a 2021 expansion team, and Milwaukee Bavarian SC – a 2020 expansion team. The 2020 season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic therefore this will be Milwaukee Bavarian SC's first season to compete in the league.

Chicago Red Star Reserves has been in the league since 2011 and has since had four undefeated seasons, made six playoff appearances, reached two WPSL finals, and became WPSL Champions in 2015.

The season will kick-off on May 30th with two matches as each team is scheduled to play 10 games. The first match will feature league veterans, Chicago Red Stars Reserves, and conference newcomer, Chicago Dutch Lions FC; followed by Milwaukee Torrent hosting Green Bay Glory.

Chicago City will open the season at home on June 2nd versus Chicago Red Stars Reserves and Milwaukee Bavarian SC will open on the road on June 5th against Chicago Dutch Lions FC.
