The Women’s Premier Soccer League has been generational foundation for players who’ve made the jump to professional levels for decades. In 2025, over 100 former WPSL players competed professionally in leagues in the United States, across Europe, Australia, Mexico and more.

Since its inception, the WPSL has provided thousands of elite players with the opportunity to grow and develop their game that propelled them to the next level. As a result, the WPSL has produced an impressive resume of marquee alumnae who have gone to play professionally, both stateside and internationally, as well as earn national team roster positions.

During the years of the NWSL Draft, the WPSL saw more than 150 former players selected between 2018-2024 – nearly 55 percent of 266 draft picks played in the Women’s Premier Soccer League.

Some of the game’s most iconic players honed their talents in the WPSL including Brandi Chastain, Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe, and Abby Wambach.
