Each summer, the Women’s Premier Soccer League offers opportunities for thousands of amateur athletes to stay sharp and fresh in between collegiate seasons, develop and refine the skills that prepare them for high-level collegiate competition, or for pre-professional advancement. It’s through this environment where collegiate, post-collegiate, and prep players can compete together on the same field and WPSL rosters, which encourages them to push each other to a level of excellence that adheres to the WPSL’s commitment to advancing the women’s game.

• Nearly 70 percent of all players registered in the WPSL compete as student-athletes from all NCAA divisions, NAIA, and NJCAA programs.
• Since 2018, seven of the eight Mac Hermann Trophy, the highest honor in collegiate soccer, winners played in the WPSL.
• For the first time in league history, all three finalists for the 2025 Mac Hermann Trophy played in the WPSL.
• More than 60 WPSL players earned All-Americans status in 2025 – 27 in NCAA Division I

The WPSL saw record numbers in player registrations in 2025 as more than 6,300 players were roster on teams across both WPSL and WPSL Division II – over 5,000 alone participated in the league’s top tier competition.
