WASHINGTON (February 16, 2022) – The Women’s Premier Soccer League announced today, FC Omega has joined the league for the 2022 season. The announcement comes after the league unveiled its 2022 Roster of Teams and Alignment. For its inaugural season, FC Omega will compete in the Colonial Conference of the league's East Region.

"FC Omega is excited to be joining the WPSL,” Susan Davis, FC Omega co-owner, said. “The WPSL’s reputation for showcasing talent and well-established best practices and outstanding competition was a strong factor in our decision to join the league. We feel the WPSL has always provided an opportunity for those who love the sport to improve their level.”

FC Omega was established in 2020 as it evolved from the training company that was created in 2017. The club provides player development ranging from youth to elite amateur with the priority of enhancing their levels to collegiate and professional trials.

The FC Omega Foundation has partnered with the Elite Soccer Youth Development Academy to offer more opportunities for inner-city youth to play the global game. ESYDA offers high-quality soccer programs to lift local communities and offer youth a bridge to higher education opportunities. Through the FC Omega Foundation, 300 more youth between the ages of 6-18 will participate in recreational, competitive and summer programs this year.

Through our partnership with Elite Soccer Youth Development Academy we will be announcing some great initiatives that the women’s [WPSL] team will be part of through the FC Omega Foundation and other community partners,” Jeremy Baab, FC Omega community outreach and eSports director, said.
