RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (Feb. 17, 2023) - The Women’s Premier Soccer League announced today that Rebels Empire is the latest California-based expansion side set to compete this season as the league sees further growth on the West Coast.

“Rebels Empire is thrilled and honored to join the WPSL,” Randy Brown, Rebels Empire executive director, said. “Bringing women’s soccer to the Inland Empire is huge for our players, youth players, families, local businesses, and all who love the beautiful game.”

The club was established in 1982 as Rebels Soccer Club and has developed a culture over the past 40 years that builds creative players from the ground up while emphasizing technique and decision-making at the individual level and as a collective team.

“Joining the WPSL allows our collegiate women who grew up in the Inland Empire and played youth and high soccer in the Inland Empire the opportunity to come home and play elite-level games for their hometown and inspire young girls,” Brown said.

For the 2023 season, Rebels Empire will compete in the Coastal Division of the So Cal Conference in the league’s West Region.
