OKLAHOMA CITY (May 9, 2023) - The Women’s Premier Soccer League announced today its partnership with NOCAP Sports, a leading athlete marketing technology and services company that focuses on monetizing collegiate athletes’ name, image, and likeness (NIL). With the announcement, NOCAP Sports will provide WPSL players with access to its NIL marketplace platform and deal-sourcing team.

"We are amped up to be working with the WPSL to help them bring NIL opportunities to their athletes through our extensive brand network and the WPSL’s team and league sponsors," Nicholas Lord, Co-Founder and CEO of NOCAP Sports, said. "It is great to see leagues like the WPSL investing into NIL resources for their athletes to help them grow their off-the-field presence."

In addition to its NIL marketplace platform for WPSL players, NOCAP Sports will also work with league and team sponsors to package WPSL athlete activation in correlation with their existing sponsorships. Brands will have direct access to every athlete in the league and will have a wide range of ways they can work with those athletes including social media, appearances, co-branded merchandise, and more.

This partnership between NOCAP Sports and the WPSL marks a significant milestone in the growing landscape of NIL opportunities for current and post-collegiate athletes. Specifically, this partnership further supports the value that female athletes are bringing to the NIL space and to the brands that work with them.

“After meeting the team at NOCAP and learning about their platform, partnering with them was a very easy decision,” Sean Jones, WPSL president, said. “This partnership will present the league with a unique community engagement opportunity and be a huge win for our teams, sponsors, and most importantly the players of the WPSL.”
