WPSL PRO: AC HOUSTON SUR SUBMITS LOI

AC HOUSTON SUR EXPANDS WPSL PRO’S REACH IN TEXAS
AS THIRD CLUB TO SUBMIT LOI AHEAD OF 2025 LAUNCH


OKLAHOMA CITY (February 20, 2024)WPSL PRO confirmed today, that AC Houston Sur has submitted an official Letter of Intent (LOI) as the third Texas-based club to commit to the 2025 launch of the league.
 

“The next evolution in the ultimate player pathway is to have the opportunity to play professionally,” Archie Wright, AC Houston Sur co-owner, said. “WPSL PRO is the ultimate solution to players ready to take the next step to achieve their dream of becoming a professional soccer player, and we are excited to start this journey with WPSL PRO.”
 

AC Houston Sur was founded in 2021 by Amr Neamatalla to provide quality soccer programming for elite athletes in the greater Houston area. The club has committed to this objective by establishing a mission that promotes a professional pathway for hardworking, talented players through a vision of empowering youth talents with a proper pathway to pro model.
 

“Having a club as committed to the women’s game as AC Houston Sur on board only propels our WPSL PRO vision forward,” Sean Jones, WPSL PRO president, said. “Our shared vision of advancement and opportunity will prove valuable in the WPSL PRO’s mission to pave the way for a long overdue new pathway for women’s soccer.”


AC Houston Sur was inspired and motivated by the recent FIFA Women’s World Cup which displayed world-class talented players, who have taken the women’s game to new heights, and stressed the urgency to invest in women’s soccer and its development. The club’s goal is to become one of the leading contributors to the game’s advancement and takes pride in its holistic training approach to make impacts on and off the field.

 

“With the addition of AC Houston Sur’s commitment, we continue to press onward to our 2025 launch while expanding our reach that cements WPSL PRO’s goal of establishing continual player-development opportunities across the country that directly impact the growth of the women’s game,” Benno Nagel, WPSL PRO project director said.
