The Women’s Premier Soccer League rolled out its full 2024 schedule today. Central Region play opens this year this year on Friday, May 11. The 2024 Central Region schedule features 182 regular season matches between May 11 and July 7.

Format

• Champions of the Heartland and Northern conferences are determined by regular season record.
• Division winners of the Midwest and Mountain conferences play Saturday, July 6 to determine conference champions.
• The Northern Conference winner will host the Central Region Playoffs on July 13-14, with the champion moving on to the WPSL Championship on July 20-21 in Stillwater, Okla.

Reigning conference champions KC Courage opens conference play at home Saturday, May 18 versus Sunflower State FC. The Courage were 7-0-3 in 2023, securing a playoff berth in its WPSL return after a two-season absence.

Missouri Reign (formerly AFC Columbia) host newcomer Side FC 92 to open its season on Saturday, May 18. The conference’s second expansion side, FC Wichita kicks off on Wednesday, May 22 at KC Courage.

Returning for their second seasons, FC Spirit and Lou Fusz Athletic kick off against each other on Sunday, May 19. FC Pride opens its 10th season of WPSL action at home on Friday, May 24 against Junction FC.

The Lake Michigan Division kicks off Friday, May 31 with expansion side, Chicago House AC, hosting Green Bay Glory, returns to the WPSL after a two-season WPSL hiatus. On Sunday, June 2 the Glory travels to FC Milwaukee Torrent, and Quad Cities Rush hosts Chicago House.

FC Milwaukee Torrent won the Midwest Conference in 2023 with a 7-0-3 record, finishing the season ranked seventh in the final National Power Ranking.

Chicago KICS Football Club kicks off its season on Wednesday, June 5 versus Quad Cities Rush.

There may be a notable absence in this season’s Mountain Conference, but there is no shortage of action. Indios Denver FC returns for its fifth WPSL season as the division’s most-tenured. Both Broomfield Burn and Colorado Pride are back for year four. Two clubs, PSD Academy and Colorado Blizzard FC make their WPSL debuts in 2024.

The Rockies Division opens play Saturday May 25 with Colorado Pride hosting debutants Colorado Blizzard FC. The Pride finished last season in second after a 6-2-2 record. On Thursday, May 30 Indios Denver FC hosts expansion side, PSD Academy

Bitter rivals La Roca FC and Utah Avalanche —both returning for their third season—open the season against each other on Thursday, May 16. The Avalanche are looking for a third consecutive Wasatch Division title, finishing the 2023 season 7-0-1 and ranked 15^th in the final National Power Rankings. 

Conference play continues Saturday, May 18 with Griffins FC kicking off its second season hosting La Roca FC, and Utah Surf on the road against the Avalanche.

Joy AC opens its third WPSL season with two big matchups: at Minnesota Thunder on the road Thursday, May 23, versus Salvo SC at home Sunday, May 26. The Thunder and Salvo finished one-two in the 2023 conference standings securing Salvo a wildcard playoff bid. Salvo went on to win the Central Region, falling to the Charlotte Eagles in the WPSL Championship match.

Manitou F.C. and Sioux Falls City FC kick off their third seasons on Friday, May 31 . Manitou hosts MapleBrook Fury (sixth season), and Sioux Falls City travels to Rochester United FC (fourth season). Mankato United Soccer Club hosts the conference’s third matchup on the 31st when it welcomes the Thunder.

St. Croix Legacy looks to improve on its WPSL debut as it kicks off its second season on Friday, May 24 against Salvo SC. Returning for its sixth season, Dakota Fusion FC opens play on the road against Salvo SC on Sunday, June 2.
