Austin Rise FC (1-0-0) opened the 2025 season with a 1-0 home win over FC Dallas Women (0-0-1). Victoria Lucksinger tallied the only goal of the match in the 34th minute to Austin the win. Alondria Iriarte earned the clean sheet in goal.

Central Region winners in 2024, Pride FC (1-0-0) kicked off the 2025 season with a weather-delayed 2-1 win over Peoria City (0-0-1) in its league debut. Sammi King put the home side on the score sheet two minutes into the second half, followed by Lauren Adam four minutes later. Anna Klauss scored Peoria City’s first goal in league play in the 70th minute.

SUNFLOWER STATE FC 2-0 (9R) KC COURAGE
Alexis Morrison and Sofia Huges scored first half goals for Sunflower State FC (1-0-0) in the club’s home-opening win over KC Courage (0-0-1). Maddox Fergus earned the clean sheet in goal for Sunflower State FC.

GRIFFINS FC 0-6 (8/4) UTAH SURF
The No. 8 Utah Surf (2-0-0) opened the season with a 6–0 road win over Griffins FC (0-0-1) at Monarch Stadium. Lataya Brost tallied a brace in the win with goals in each half. McKenzie Evans opened the scoring with her second of the season nine minutes in, followed by Chelsey Campbell at the half-hour mark and Emma Granthem, two minutes later. Danika Serassio made it six with three minutes to play in the game. Goalkeeper Sarah Newman earned her second consecutive clean sheet.

GRIFFINS FC 0-4 (10R) LA ROCA FC
La Roca FC (1-0-0) topped Griffins FC (0-0-2) in Wasatch Division play Saturday 4-0. Grace Kirby tallied a brace bookended with goals by Lox Neves and Kylie Olsen. Kate Ockene earned the clean sheet in goal for La Roca.

METASPORT FC 0-4 (8/4) UTAH SURF
McKenzie Evans continued her torrid goal scoring streak, banging in a hat trick to bring her total to five on the season as No. 8 Utah Surf (3-0-0) welcomed MetaSport FC (0-0-1) to Wasatch Division play with a 4-0 win. Chelsey Campbell rounded out the scoring, bagging her second goal on the season.

CITY SC UTAH 1-4 (23/8) UTAH AVALANCHE
The Utah Avalanche (1-0-0) topped City SC Utah (0-0-2) 4-1 on the road Sunday. Callie Baylock put the No. 23 Avalanche on the board in the 10th minute. Mikayla Farnsworth doubled the Avalanche lead at the half-hour mark. Zoe Moses Hernandez pulled a goal back for the hosts two minutes after the start of the second half. After Isabelle Smith made it 3-1 in the 53rd minute, Emery Jacobs closed out the scoring in the 84th.

GREEN BAY GLORY 10-0 MILWAUKEE CITY AFC
Green Bay Glory (1-0-0) gave league newcomers, Milwaukee City AFC (0-0-1), a rough welcome to the WPSL putting 10 past the visitors in both club’s opening match of 2025. Emily McCarthy tallied a brace, along with individual goals by Alyssa Mericle, Jenna Baumann, Mallory Herber, McKayla Legois, Ryley Winrich, Trudy Quidzinski, Jenna Scholz, and Kallie Drexler.

CHICAGO HOUSE AC 2-3 BAVARIAN UNITED SC
Bavarian United SC (1-0-0) made a triumphant return to WPSL play picking up a last-minute 3-2 road win at Chicago House AC (0-0-1) to open the season for both clubs. Zoe Hevey tallied the winner in second half added time to give Bavarians its first win of the season. Sophia McMillian put the hosts in the lead in the 10th minute. Chicago’s lead held until the 51st minute when M Cornell pulled Bavarian United level. Josie Langhans goal two minutes later put the visitors in the lead for the first time. Louisa Schreiber leveled the score for the second time in the match in the 70th minute.

ST. CROIX LEGACY 4-3 JOY AC
St. Croix Legacy (1-0-0) opened its home schedule with a nail-biting 4-3 win over Joy AC (0-0-1). Jillian Brown put the visitors on the board in the ninth minute. Tatum Trettel then pulled the game level for St. Croix in the 34th with her first of two goals on the day. Brooke Naste gave Joy FC its second lead of the day in the 40th minute, which held past the hour mark when Kenzie Jacobson leveled the score at two apiece. Three minus later Amara Smith put the hosts ahead for the first time in the match. Sophia King leveled things for the visitors at three with nine minutes to play before Tatum Trettel netted the game-winner for the hosts.
