WPSL COMMISSIONER KENDRA HALTERMAN INDUCTED INTO USASA BILL BOSGRAAF REGION IV HALL OF FAME

OKLAHOMA CITY (1/12/2026) — Women’s Premier Soccer League Commissioner, Kendra Halterman, was inducted into the United States Adult Soccer Association Bill Bosgraaf Region IV Hall of Fame on Saturday night.

Representing the Far West Region, including her home state of Utah, Halterman was recognized for more than two decades of tireless work promoting adult and women’s soccer.

"I would like to thank the Hall of Fame Committee and everyone in Region IV who supported, challenged, and mentored me along the way,” Halterman said.

“Being inducted into the Bill Bosgraaf Hall of Fame is one of the greatest honors of my life. This isn’t just an award. It carries the name of the man who changed the direction of my life and helped give me a career in soccer. I am truly honored by this recognition and thankful for the opportunity to continue serving the game and the people I love,” she said.

Halterman’s tenure in the WPSL spans 25 years. She began playing in the league in 2000 for the Utah Spiders, and has served as a Conference Delegate, Associate Commissioner, before assuming her role as Commissioner in 2024.

In 2008 she co-founded Sparta Women, acting as team manager, administrator, midfielder, and even coach. It was Bosgraaf, a pioneer in women’s soccer in Utah and Halterman’s mentor that helped connect Halterman and Real Salt Lake owner, Dell Loy Hansen, in 2012. She served on the USASA Affiliate Board representing national leagues including the WPSL, and the U.S. Soccer Open Cup Disciplinary Committee, and was player/manager of Pan World, winners of the 2024 USASA Women’s Amateur Cup.

After years of work in the background, Halterman was appointed Executive Director of USA Deaf Soccer in 2024, where she continues to work tirelessly to create opportunities for deaf and hard-of-hearing players with the goal of increasing awareness and ensuring a clear pathway to the U.S. Deaf National Team.
