OKLAHOMA CITY (April 9, 2024) — The Women’s Premier Soccer League released the Division II Central Conference alignment and schedule for the 2026 season today.

A conference-high 15 teams will compete in 45 matches between May 23 and July 2. Last year’s conference runners up, Flick City Channel Cats kick off the 2026 Central Conference slate hosting Division II newcomers, Side FC 92 OKC on Saturday, May 23 at Ascension St. John Sportsplex in Tulsa, Okla.

A total of 10 teams return from the 2025 season, including conference champions, Union KC Red, one of two Union KC Division II teams returning for 2026. Also returning are, Flick City Channel Cats, Missouri Reign II, Nebraska Fierce, Oklahoma City FC Reserves, Sioux City Sol, and Sporting Wichita.

New to the Central Conference this season are Casa Deportiva Cumbre Alta, Central Kansas United, Dakota Fusion, Lou Fusz Athletic II, Side FC OKC, and Sunflower State Reserves.

The addition of Lou Fusz and Sunflower State Reserves brings the total number of reserve and second teams from the first division to an all-time high of six in the conference, joining Oklahoma City FC Reserves and extending the bitter rivalries established in the league’s flagship tier to Division II.

Teams play an eight-game schedule based on geographic location. Not all teams in the conference will face each other. The team with the best record versus conference opponents will be crowned conference champion. Some teams will augment the season with friendly fixtures which will not count towards the conference title.
