OBETZ, Ohio — FC Dayton (1-0-0) picked up three huge points on the road to open the 2026 season knocking off the Columbus Eagles (0-0-1) at Fortress Obetz Friday. Savannah Connor scored the game winner in the 21st minute. Taylor Thomas earned the clean sheet in goal for FC Dayton.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — Columbus Eagles FC (1-0-1) picked up three crucial road points with a 1-0 win over expansion side, Michigan Rangers (1-0-1). Sophie Khelavshili scored the winner from the penalty spot in the 87th minute. Davanee Balczak kept the score sheet clean in goal for Columbus.

PHILADELPHIA — Real Central NJ (1-0-0) played spoiler in Kensington Soccer Club’s (0-0-1) inaugural WPSL match, topping the Philadelphia-based side 2-1. Miley Jones put the visitors up in the fifth minute. Elana Hincapie leveled the score at one each in the 51st minute before Taylor Krott tallied the game-winner with nine minutes to play.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Keystone FC (1-0-0) kicked off Commonwealth Division play with a 2-0 win over Hershey FC (0-0-1). Jess Bentzel and Gracie Sines scored for Keystone FC in the win.

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. — Defending WPSL champions Sporting CT (1-0-0) kicked off the season with a 5-1 win over crosstown rival, Vale SC (0-0-1). Tiffany Weimer tallied a brace for Sporting, while Giovanna Dionicio, Abigail Johnson, and Laney Smith added their names to the score sheet. Riley Powers scored Vale SC’s first WPSL goal.

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. — Vale SC (1-0-1) picked up its first WPSL victory with a 2-1 win over sister Connecticut expansion side Inter CT FC (0-0-1). Match details were not available at the time of publication.
