OKLAHOMA CITY (MARCH 23, 2026) — The Women’s Premier Soccer League announced Denver-based Glacier FC will join the WPSL for the 2026 season. The announcement brings the number of clubs competing in this year’s Rockies Division to five, with teams in Colorado Springs, Denver, Windsor, and Fort Collins.
“We are excited to join the WPSL,” Juan Martinez, Glacier FC head coach, said. “Glacier FC is committed to supporting female athletes in reaching their full potential and guiding them along their chosen path, whether that means continuing their development in collegiate soccer or pursuing opportunities at the professional level.”
Founded in early 2026, the non-profit club strives to help develop more resilient and well-rounded women to serve as stewards of the game in their communities.
Glacier FC is led by Martinez, a veteran WPSL coach, and assistant coaches Marvin Gallegos and Briana Kuestersteffen, to guide the club’s founding mission of providing high-level competitive pathways to female players who have historically lacked access to post-high school and post-collegiate playing opportunities.
Glacier FC opens its inaugural season on the road, Saturday, May 30 at Colorado Pride before enjoying a three-match home stand Wednesday, June 3 versus expansion side CO Elevation FC, Sunday, June 7 versus Aggies FC, and Wednesday, June 10 versus Northern Colorado Rain.
The club will play its home matches at Englewood High School, a historic professional, elite amateur, and high school soccer venue since the early 1990s, wrapping up its regular season home dates June 22 versus Colorado Pride before finishing the regular season June 28 at CO Elevation FC.
