WOODSTOCK, Ga. — In a match marred with multiple lengthy weather delays, Georgia Impact advanced to the South Region Final with a 1-0 win over Little Rock Rangers SC Saturday in Woodstock, Ga.
Ines Obradovac put the Southeast Conference hosts in the lead in the 36th minute in between interruptions caused by the weather.
In the 44th minute, Georgia Impact was awarded a penalty kick after a Little Rock defender was called for handling in the penalty area. Little Rock goalkeeper denied Harper Hudepoh a second goal, saving the penalty kick as the second half wound down.
Georgia Impact goalkeeper Jaddah Foos kept the clean sheet.
Georgia Impact moves to 8-0-1 on the season. Little Rock Rangers SC’s season ends with a record of 9-1-1.
With the win, Georgia Impact advanced to the South Region Final on Sunday for the first time in club history. Kickoff is at 4 p.m. EDT at Woodstock High School in Woodstock, Ga.
