Ten WPSL alumnae were named to Emma Hays’ SheBelieves Cup roster this week. The U.S. will face Canada, Columbia, and Argentina in the round-robin competition running March 1-7.
FC Westchester alumna Phallon Tullis-Joyce was one of three goalkeepers called in for the tournament. Currently the first choice at Manchester United, Tullis-Joyce has earned two clean sheets in four USWNT appearances since making her full USWNT debut in a 2-0 win over Brazil in April of last year.
Jordyn Bugg enters next month’s tournament with six appearances under her belt. The Seattle Reign defender made her full USWNT debut in a 4-0 win over the Republic of Ireland in June of 2025 — two years after featuring in the WPSL with the San Diego Surf.
Gotham FC defender, Lilly Reale, played in the WPSL in 2024 for Beach Futbol Club and MISS KICK FC in 2021 and ’22. Since Reale made her full USWNT debut in June of 2025 versus the Republic of Ireland, she has earned six caps, picking up one assist.
Another MISS KICK FC alumna, Kate Weisner looks to earn her fourth full USWNT cap next month. The Washington Spirit defender made her international debut in November 2025 versus Italy three years after her WPSL tenure with MISS KICK (2021-22).
“We are incredibly proud of Jayden Perry and Kate Wiesner. Watching them grow from talented players into confident professionals capable of competing at the national team level is exactly why Miss Kick FC exists. Our mission has always been to create an environment where players are challenged, supported, and prepared for the next level—whether that’s professionally or internationally.” - Madison Beckley, MISS KICK FC executive director, said.
With 42 caps, the unmistakable Sam Coffey is the second-most tenured WPSL alumnae in the cycle. Coffey logged time with New York Elite SC in 2017 before beginning her illustrious professional career in 2022, the same year of her senior international debut in a friendly versus Nigeria. After three seasons in the NWSL with the Portland Thorns FC, Coffey made a high-profile move to Manchester City.
After being part of a landmark $1M transfer deal sending her to Bay FC, Claire Hutton looks to cement herself in the USWNT midfield. Hutton featured in the WPSL for the New York Shockers from 2023-2021. She made her senior national team appearance in last year’s SheBelieves Cup versus Australia. In January she became the youngest player, at 20, to captain the senior women’s national team in the modern era.
The most tenured WPSL alumnae with 116 caps, Rose Lavelle made her USWNT debut in 2017 versus England, only a year removed from her time in the WPSL with the Dayton Dutch Lions. Lavelle enters this year’s tournament fresh off scoring the winning goal in the NWSL championship.
Fresh off her full USWNT debut as a substitute in January’s 6-0 win over Paraguay, Seattle Reign forward Maddie Dahlien is looking for her first goal for the senior national team. Dahlien’s WPSL tenure spanned four seasons with the Minnesota Thunder (2024-2021). With an impressive six goals in just 15 appearances, Ally Sentnor made her senior national team debut in 2024 versus England at Wembley Stadium just two years removed from WPSL play with Downtown United Soccer Club. A standout at FC Dallas in the WPSL, Gotham FC forward Jaedyn Shaw has gone on to earn 33 caps for the full USWNT, tallying nine goals since her 2023 debut versus Columbia.
The USWNT kicks off the SheBelieves Cup Sunday, March 1 versus Argentina at Goedis Park in Nashville, Tenn., followed by Canada Wednesday, March 3 at Scotts Miracle Grow Field in Columbus, Ohio. The tournament wraps-up Saturday, March 7 versus Colombia at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, N.J.
