HORSHUM, Pa. (June 12, 2026) — With only three games left, and playoffs in sight, Love City FC was looking to take their record from 3-2-0 to 4-2-0. However, the Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals put up a good fight.
Within the first few minutes of the game, midfielder Taylor Troutman took a shot outside the 18-yard-box that fell safely in Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals goalkeeper Genevieve Morrison’s hands. Both teams continued to fight in the middle-third of the field until Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals were given a direct kick 40 yards from the goal.
The ball was served inside the box where a Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals forward couldn’t get enough of it, and it rolled into Love City FC goalkeeper Kaeyla Noble’s hands.
In the 33rd minute, Love City FC was awarded their third corner kick. Midfielder Dani Kaufman-Sedano served the ball to the near post to Gabrielle Oudin. Oudin redirects the ball to the back post where Morrison is forced to make a huge save.
With both teams scoreless going into the second half, the stakes are high. In the first few minutes, Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals were rewarded with a direct kick outside the box. Forward Alana Peev’s shot finds the back of the net to put Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals up 1-0.
Ten minutes later, Troutman took a corner, finding Jessica Castorina. Despite City’s efforts, Morrison kept them out once again. Morrison ended the match with a total of ten saves, but Love City FC remained persistent heading into stoppage time when midfielder Natalie Kocsis
dribbles towards the endline and serves a ball on the ground to Beky Myers for her second goal of the season, saving Love City FC’s undefeated streak with a final score of 1-1.
Love City FC’s fight was rewarded by moving up six slots in the WPSL’s weekly Power Rankings. The once-ranked 14th team is now in the top ten, sitting patiently at No. 8. Tune in Sunday, June 21st, 2026 at 6:00PM EST to continue to be a part of a historic season.
