By Love City FC

PHILADELPHIA (June 6, 2026) — Love City FC finished its stretch of home games with an electric comeback against six-time conference title holder, Penn Fusion.

Love City FC was inches away from scoring its fastest goal in club history with a shot from Beky Myers from the edge of the box 34 seconds into the match. The tone had been set—Love City FC will fight to keep their undefeated streak alive.

Despite City creating several dangerous opportunities in the first five minutes, Penn Fusion forward Adria Kitzinger found herself one on one with goalkeeper Maia Kafer. Despite Kafer’s efforts Kitzinger put Penn Fusion up 1-0.

Kitzinger struck ten minutes later too quickly to give Penn Fusion a two-goal lead.

With one goal under her belt, Love City forward Juelle Love dribbled into the box and forced goalkeeper Ella Poppinga to make her second save of the match. Poppinga spilled it at the top of the six-yard box where Jessica Castorina hit it one time.

In the 28th minute Gabriella Marte struck the ball while making a run to the back post off a corner served by Nia Chinapoo making it 1-2 before they entered an action packed second half.

After an hour lightning delay the game resumed at the 58-minute mark. Love City struck with a ball played between Fusion’s backline by Juelle Love, finding top goal scorer Nicole Sweeney. Sweeney placed it past Kali Reddy to tie the game 2-2.

With 20 minutes left to go, Love forces Reddy to make a save that trickles to the top of the six-yard box where Castorina finished to score her second goal of the season to put Love City up 3-2.

A bad touch from Fusion allows Taylor Troutman to turn quickly and rip a shot from outside the box. Troutman scored her first goal of the season, pushing Love City FC in a two-goal lead over Fusion with less than 15 minutes to go.

As both teams entered 3-minutes of stoppage time, Fusion forward Sage Stelzer made it 4-3. However, the final whistle blew and Love City secured their second win in club history and kept the undefeated streak alive.
