Match Summary: Love City FC vs SJEB FC

PHILADELPHIA (May 28, 2026) — Love City FC defended its home turf on Thursday against the 2025 Colonial Division title holder, SJEB FC playing to a 3-3 draw at Drexel University.

The draw moved Love city to 0-2-0 on the season.

Eager to get its first win at home, Love City forward Juelle Love took a shot outside the box causing SJEB goalkeeper Chelsea Mohammad to make her first save of the evening within the first five minutes.

Both teams continued to find opportunities with SJEB forward serving it inside the six-yard-box where the ball was placed just past the post and Love City FC midfielder Natalie Kocsis slotting

forward Nicole Sweeney who continued to test Mohammad.

Goalkeeper Isabella Serano received her first start on Thursday and kept the score 0-0 in the 18th minute with a save that hit off the cross bar and was cleared. Serano finished the half with two critical saves.

The scoreboard was opened up with a shot and a goal from Love City FC forward Nia Chinapoo from outside the box, putting Love City FC in the lead to start the second half.

SJEB found the first shot of the second half on Love City FC goalkeeper Maia Kafer as she earned her first minutes of the season. SJEB continued to press Love City’s backline, and broke through in the 57th minute with midfielder Olivia McMaster making it 1-1.

Moments later McMaster found herself inside the box finishing a ball played on the ground by Kyra Samalonis pushing SJEB ahead.

With five minutes left in the game, Nicole Sweeney found herself on the ball behind the backline with SJEB defender Adrianna Pepe trailing her. They enter the box, both reach for the ball when Sweeney goes down drawing a penalty kick. Sweeney goes on to blast the ball past goalkeeper Madison Wesselto to defend City’s undefeated streak at home.

With five minutes of stoppage time Marte put Love City up 3-2 with a free kick from just outside the box.

Only moments before the final whistle SJEB equalizes when Naomi Nnewohe finds Emily Morgan, who touches past Kafer and in the last few seconds ties the game 3-3.

Love City are back in action at home Sunday, May 31st, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. EST versus Fever SC.
