OKLAHOMA CITY (June 10, 2026) — The Women’s Premier Soccer League’s 2026 Championships presented by Capelli Sport will take place July 18–19 at Riverside Stadium within the KC Current Sports Complex in Riverside, Missouri. “We are thrilled to partner with the Kansas City Current to bring the 2026 WPSL" Championships to Kansas City,” Sean Jones, WPSL president, said. “Riverside Stadium provides a world-class stage for our league’s top teams and players to compete for a national championship.”
Opened this year as part of the Kansas City Current Sports Complex, the 2,000-seat Riverside Stadium features a world-class natural grass playing surface modeled after the pitch at CPKC Stadium—the first stadium in the world purpose-built for a professional women’s sports team.
“We’re proud to welcome the WPSL Championships to Riverside Stadium and continue positioning Kansas City as a premier destination for women’s soccer at every level of the game,” Missy Jenkins, Kansas City Current senior vice president of commercial, said. “Hosting this championship is another opportunity to showcase our commitment to growing the women’s game, creating unforgettable experiences for fans and athletes, and providing world-class venues where players can compete on the biggest stages.”
The WPSL Championships begin Saturday, July 18 with a pair of semifinal matches featuring winners from the WPSL’s four regions. The South and East regions kick off the day’s matches at 9 a.m. CDT, followed by the West Region champions facing the Central Region winners at approximately 11:45 a.m. CDT, depending on the conclusion of the first match.
Semifinal winners advance to the WPSL Championships Final July 19. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CDT.
Semifinal tickets are good for both games. Semifinal and Final tickets are $10. Concessions will be available during all three matches. Vehicles will be charged $10 to park at the complex.
Both semifinal and the final match will be streamed on WPSL.TV.
From 2019, 2022-2025, the WPSL hosted its championships at Neal Patterson Stadium on the campus of Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla, where Pensacola FC (2019), California Storm (2022, 2024), Charlotte Eagles (2023), and Sporting CT (2025) were crowned WPSL champions. (The WPSL did not play in 2020 and did not host a national championship in 2021.) There has never been a repeat champion in the 28-year history of the league.
“The WPSL has always been committed to creating meaningful opportunities for women to pursue their soccer dreams,” Jones said. “Hosting our championships in an environment that celebrates and elevates the women’s game is a perfect reflection of that mission. We are grateful to the Kansas City Current organization for their partnership and support of the mission, and we look forward to welcoming fans from across the country for what promises to be an unforgettable showcase of elite amateur women’s soccer.”
WPSL Championships media credentials will be issued by the WPSL communications department beginning July 1. Contact Andrew Mosier, WPSL Communications Coordinator for credential information.
