MUSTANG, Okla. (June 21, 2026) - Oklahoma City FC entered the season unbeaten through five matches. Ten days later, the ScissorTails find itself in unfamiliar territory.

For the first time in the club’s 18-season WPSL history, Oklahoma City FC has lost three consecutive matches after falling 2-0 to Kansas City Current II on Saturday night at Bronco Stadium.

The defending Midwest Conference champions have also gone scoreless during the three- match skid, dropping to 5-3-0 and into third place in the Heartland Division, four points behind division-leading Union KC (6-1-1).

Meanwhile, Kansas City Current II remained unbeaten at 5-0-2 and can move into first place in the Heartland Division with a victory Sunday at Side FC 92 Tulsa.

The visitors capitalized on an Oklahoma City FC miscue in the 15th minute to open the scoring. Goalkeeper Callie Sullivan’s clearing attempt went directly to Kansas City Current II forward Avery Clark, who calmly finished into an open net for a 1-0 advantage.

Clark, a product of the University of Texas, struck again midway through the second half. She collected a cross from teammate Taylor Cheatham and slid her shot underneath Sullivan’s outstretched arms in the 68th minute to double the lead to 2-0.

Oklahoma City FC will look to snap its losing streak Wednesday when it travels to Kansas City for a rematch against the Current. Kickoff at Riverside Stadium is scheduled for 6 p.m. The match will be streamed live on WPSL-TV .
