New Season. Same Goal.

After a less than ideal 2025 season, Colorado Pride entered its sixth season looking to return to the standard the club for which the club has become known. To do that, head coach Matt Saul emphasized focusing on the tangible parts of the game.

It worked, returning Colorado Pride to the top of the Rockies Division for the second time in three seasons.

“We work to create an environment where players feel seen, challenged, and prepared for whatever comes next in their individual journey,” Saul said. “We intentionally design that environment to bring out the best in every player, because we believe that when individuals thrive, the team gives itself the best opportunity to succeed.”

Pride opened 2026 with a pair of wins: 3-0 at its new home at Stewart Field on the picturesque campus of Colorado College, followed with a 2-1 win on the road over expansion side Aggies FC before playing Northern Colorado Rain FC to a hardfought 0-0 draw at home to earn seven points in the Rockies table and set  itself up for a tight division race that would come down to the wire, making every point earned valuable.

After a 2-1 road loss in Week Four, Pride’s offense kicked it up a gear, averaging 3.33 goals per game over its next three matches to pick up nine crucial points in standings on the wins. Isabel Murdock, Ellie Duncan, and Kate Melville led Pride in scoring, accounting for seven of the 17 goals scored on the season.

Pride rebounded from the loss as Saul and his staff hoped, refocusing on the things they could control, outscoring opponents 10 to four in three wins to capture its second Rockies Division title in three years.

“We’re proud that this group competed with purpose and consistency in every moment throughout the season,” Saul said. “Regaining the Rockies [title] with one game to spare is a reflection of the standards, commitment, and daily work the players invested in one another from the very beginning.”
