Rocky Mountain Growth Continues as Colorado Elevation FC Set to Join WPSL for 2026 Season

OKLAHOMA CITY (February 6, 2026) — The Women’s Premier Soccer League announced today Colorado Elevation FC will play its inaugural WPSL season in 2026. The announcement makes Colorado Elevation FC the first announced expansion side to play in the realigned Rockies Division.

“We are excited to announce that we are officially joining the Women’s Premier Soccer League, one of the most competitive and nationally recognized women’s soccer leagues in the United States,” Marc Ashouri, Colorado Elevation FC CEO and founder, said. “This represents a step forward in our club’s mission to provide elite development pathways for female athletes.”

Founded in Denver’s southern suburbs in 2015, the club began with a single recreational team founded by families looking for a better youth soccer experience. Today, the club fields youth teams spanning the participatory spectrum, from recreational to elite leagues with the mission of developing athletes by promoting high-level personal confidence, physical fitness and agility, individual skills, teamwork, and emotional growth.

“Our players will have an opportunity for a women’s professional pathway, reinforcing our long-term vision of empowering athletes on and off the field while elevating the soccer landscape in the community,” Ashouri said. “By entering the WPSL, Colorado Elevation is strengthening the bridge between youth soccer and the highest level of the game, offering our players the opportunity to compete, grow, and aspire at the next level.”

Colorado Elevation FC will play its debut WPSL season in the realigned Rockies Division, joining the Desert and Wasatch divisions to make up the new Mountain West Conference, returning the Colorado and Utah-based teams back to the West Region.

The 28th WPSL season kicks off May 4, culminating with the WPSL Championships July 17-19. The full 2026 WPSL schedule will be announced March 17.
