ST. PAUL, Minn.— Makayla Lee scored the game-winner in the 90th minute to put Salvo SC through to the Central Region Final on Sunday with a 3-2 win over St. Croix Legacy Saturday on the campus of the University of Northwestern St. Paul.
Sydney Sutherland put St. Croix in the lead in the fourth minute.
Josie Seehafer pulled the hosts level three minutes later.
Alexa Hanson put Salvo up 2-1 in the first minute of added time to close out the first half.
Addi Van Zee made it 2-2 in the 68th minute before Lee got the winner moments before the end of regulation.
With the win, Salvo moves to 8-0-1 on the season. St. Croix Legacy finished its fourth WPSL season 4-2-3.
Salvo advances to its second Central Region Final Sunday at 7 p.m. CDT on the campus of the University of Northwestern St. Paul. In 2023, Salvo won the Central Region to advance to the WPSL Championships, where it lost to Charlotte Eagles in the final.
