USTARS Group Matchups of the Week Four

The top teams in the Great River Division meet for a rematch, the number one and two teams in the Gateway Division look for a foothold, while two contenders in The District Division clash and a San Francisco Derby kicks off in this week’s Matchup of the Week presented by USTARS Group.

Thursday, June 4

FC Dayton (3-0-0) vs. Columbus Eagles FC (2-0-1)

The return match of FC Dayton’s early-season upset of the reigning Great River Division champs.

Since, FC Dayton remains one of the hottest teams in the East Region, picking up its third win over the weekend topping expansion side, Michigan Rangers FC 6-1. Savannah Conner leads FC Dayton with three goals on the season, including the game winner over Columbus in Week Two. Dayton’s goalkeeping corps of Taylor Thomas and Kendall Sears have conceded one goal this season, with earning a clean sheet this season. Both of Columbus’ wins this season came against Michigan Rangers FC : 1-0 in Week Two and 8-1 in Week Four. Nikki Cox leads the club with three goals—all of which came in the Eagles second win over Michigan.

FC Pride (1-0-0) vs. Lou Fusz Athletic (1-1-0)

Midwest Conference – Gateway Division

The top two sides in the Gateway Division face off in Indianapolis when FC Pride hosts Lou Fusz Athletic on Friday.

FC Pride kicked off 2026 at home with a 4-1 Week Three win over Missouri Reign. Brianna Buels tallied twice for FC Pride in the win to lead the club in scoring. Lou Fusz travels to Indianapolis after a pair of home matches: a 2-0 Week Three win over Missouri Rush, followed by a Week Four 1-1 draw with Missouri Reign. Lou Fusz comes into the match having won the series in 2025; after playing to a 1-1 draw in Indianapolis in Week Four, Athletic won the return match 4-2 on its way to a Gateway Division title. Lou Fusz hosts the Week Eight return match Friday, June 26.

Arlington SA (2-0-0) vs. Alexandria Reds (1-0-1)

Atlantic Conference – The District Division

Two top-of-the-table clubs renew a bitter rivalry on Friday when Arlington SA takes on Alexandria Reds in Arlington.

Arlington SA is fresh off a 4-1 win over District Elite FC on Saturday. Evelyn Javers tallied a hat trick and Irena Gonzalez added a goal in the win. Saturday’s win followed a 4-1 win over The St. James FC less than 24 hours earlier. Alexandria Reds are 1-0-1 with a Week Two win and loss at home: 1-0 over District Elite FC before falling two days later to Arlington SA U21 by the same score. Arlington took both games in series in 2025, winning a Week Four clash 2-1 at Alexandria, and the return match 6-1 to wrap up the 2025 regular season for both clubs. Alexandria will host the return match Sunday, June 14.

San Francisco Nighthawks (1-0-0) vs. San Francisco Glens (0-2-0)

San Francisco Nighthawks enters its 28th WPSL kicking off a new Golden Gate Derby versus San Francisco Glens Sunday in San Francisco.

The Nighthawks kicked off the season with a 2-0 home win over San Ramon FC. Isabella Flocchini and Ava Abadou scored for the Nighthawks in the win. The Nighthawks face Fresno Freeze FC on Thursday before the derby match with Glens. The Nighthawks finished 2-3-3 in 2025. Sulma Plancarte led the club in scoring with three goals. The Glens have acquitted itself well in its inaugural WPSL season, picking up a pair of draws: 1-1 in Week Three on the road with Lamorinda United, and 3-3 in its home opener versus sister expansion side, The Town FC. Francesca Johnson leads the club in scoring with a pair of goals she picked up in the 3-3 draw versus The Two FC. San Francisco Glens hosts the return match Sunday, June 28 at San Francisco Glens Stadium.
