OKLAHOMA CITY (July 2, 2026) — The Women’s Premier Soccer League names its honorees for regional Players of the Week selection during Week Eight, presented by Global Scarves, the exclusive personalized merchandise partner of the Women’s Premier Soccer League.
Junction FC’s Rayna Powers and Sosi Dadekian took Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week awards for the Central Region, while Samantha Arnold (ALBION San Diego), Ella Dietz (Little Rock Rangers SC), and Monica Curry (Force FC New York)collect the offensive honors for the West, Central, and East regions.
San Francisco Nighthawks’ Aminah Evans and DECATUR FC’s Jazmin Ferguson earn Defensive Players of the Week for the West and South Regions, while Carmen Reinerink of Brooklyn City F.C. takes it for the East Region. Goalkeepers of the Week JJ Hoover (FC Premier), Gwen Doughty (Arlington SA), and Jessica Kasacek (RI Rogues FC) win the award for the West, South, and East regions.
CENTRAL REGION - Rayna Powers, Junction FC
Rayna Powers of the University of Kentucky did not shy away from a three-game week to close out Junction FC’s 2026 campaign. In fact, Powers thrived in the pressure, propelling her side to three wins while contributing to five of the seven goals the team scored on the week. Powers’ two goals and three assists led Junction FC, including a game-tying assist and game-winning goal, to secure second place of the Gateway Division, its best finish since its debut season in 2024, earning her Central Region Offensive Player of the Week.
EAST REGION - Monica Curry, Force FC New York
Monica Curry was just the answer Force FC New York needed in its final week of regular season play as it hosted the return match with Clarkstown Soccer Club, who shut out Force FC in its prior meeting. The UMass forward set to open her college career this fall scored two goals and tallied two assists, to directly contribute to all scoring opportunities to give Force FC its first win, earning her East Region Offensive Player of the Week.
SOUTH REGION - Ella Dietz, Little Rock Rangers SC
High school sophomore Ella Dietz led Little Rock Rangers SC to its first conference title after returning to WPSL play, accounting for three of the five goals the Rangers scored in its 5-1 win over Baton Rouge in Week Eight. Dietz’ brace and assist garnered her the South Region Offensive Player of the Week.
WEST REGION - Samantha Arnold, ALBION San Diego
Team Captain and high school junior Samantha Arnold secures the West Region Offensive Player of the Week on the strength of an assist and two goals to lead ALBION San Diego to a big 5-0 win over division contenders So Cal Union FC in its regular season finale.

CENTRAL REGION - Sosi Dadekian, Junction FC
Junction FC’s impressive defensive Week Eight performance ties directly back to Illinois State sophomore Sosi Dadekian, who led the team to three wins in its final action of the regular season. Dadekian recorded 270 minutes helping hold the opposition to just one goal per game. Her defensive heroics earned her Central Region Defensive Player of the Week.
EAST REGION - Carmen Reinerink, Brooklyn City F.C.
With back-to-back games on the week, Carmen Reinerink led Brooklyn City F.C. to two big wins where the defense allowed just a single goal. The Adelphi University junior made six crucial defensive plays to keep opponents off the score sheets and secure six points in the standings, making her East Region’s Defensive Player of the Week.
SOUTH REGION - Jazmin Ferguson, DECATUR FC
In its final homestand of the 2026 season, DECATUR FC hosted two of the Southeast’s toughest opponents, respectively. In its first contest of the week, LSU graduate Jazmin Ferguson scored the opening goal against Chattanooga FC before leading the DECATUR defense to secure the 4-1 win. Ferguson continued her impressive defensive efforts to help DECATUR down Georgia Impact, securing six big points and earning South Region’s Defensive Player of the Week.
WEST REGION - Aminah Evans, San Francisco Nighthawks
With the Central Valley Division race coming down to the wire, the San Francisco Nighthawks faced two crucial tests in Week Eight. Nighthawks newcomer Aminah Evans earned West Region’s Defensive Player of the Week after stepping up big defensively to lead San Francisco to the division title and on its way to compete for the NorCal Championship.

EAST REGION - Jessica Kasacek, RI Rogues FC
Jessica Kasacek’s goalkeeping heroics fended off a tough Albany Rush side to lead RI Rogues FC to its fourth consecutive shutout of the season in to close out the regular season just one point back from first place, awarding her East Region’s Goalkeeper of the Week.
SOUTH REGION - Gwen Doughty, Arlington SA
South Region Goalkeeper of the Week is awarded to William & Mary freshman Gwen Doughty who protected the Arlington SA goal line for 90 minutes, recording four saves to help Arlington secure the win over The St. James FC, claiming its stake in The District Division title race.
WEST REGION - JJ Hoover, FC Premier
FC Premier’s JJ Hoover wins West Region’s Goalkeeper of the Week on the strength of ten saves over 135 minutes in the net and a clean sheet to lead the team to two wins on the week, collecting six crucial points in the Coastal Division title race.
