A trio of opening weekend matches kicks off the action in the West, including No. 1 in the West Region Power Rankings presented by SouthStar Systems, California Storm, which looks to defend its West Region title when it faces off against newly promoted Yuba Football Club in its full WPSL debut at Davis Legacy Soccer Complex.
Fresh off a West Region Playoffs Final appearance, So Cal Union FC starts its 2026 campaign in the No. 2 Spot, followed by West Region Playoffs semifinalist Spokane Shadow at No. 3. Desert Division winners, Royals AZ start the season at No. 4, with Portland Thorns FC II, unbeaten in 2025, rounding out the Top 5.
