SALT LAKE CITY — Black Diamond FC (1-0-0) topped City SC Utah (0-0-1) 3-0 Saturday at West High School Gean Plaga Stadium. Annie Heaton, and Addi Coon bookended a City SC own goal to close out the scoring on the night. Lauren Butorac earned the clean sheet in goal for Black Diamond.
ROSEVILLE, Calif. — FC Davis (1-0-0) earned three road points beating Iron Rose FC (0-0-1) 2-0 at West Park High School Saturday. Madeline Coles scored moments into the match and Camille Carvalho added an insurance goal with 11 minutes to play in the second half. Jaidyn Jujii earned the clean sheet in goal for FC Davis.
DAVIS, Calif. — Defending West Region champs California Storm kicked off its 28th WPSL campaign picking up a 6-0 win over expansion side Yuba Football Club Saturday at the Davis Legacy Soccer Complex. Dalia Asad tallied a brace, and Savannah Schwarze, Elizabeth Hutchison, Kennedy Mayo, and Camryn Dillingham added goals in the win. Abbie Faingold picked up the clean sheet in goal for Storm.
