OKLAHOMA CITY (March 17, 2026) — The 28th season of the Women’s Premier Soccer League kicks off Saturday, May 9 with a Third Coast Division clash between expansion side Valdosta FC and Gulf Coast United at 3 p.m. EST.
Between May 9 and July 2, more than 650 matches will be played across 17 divisions, 16 conferences, and four regions to determine who will meet in the WPSL National Championships July 17-19.

North Lowndes Park – Valdosta, Ga.
South Region - Gulf Coast Conference - Third Coast Division
This Third Coast Division matchup sees Valdosta FC make its WPSL debut when it hosts Gulf Coast United to open WPSL play for the year. Gulf Coast United is entering its second WPSL season after finishing fourth in the Third Coast Division last season going 3-2-5.

East Region - Great Lakes Conference - Great River Division
Michigan Rangers FC kick off its inaugural WPSL season with a test against WPSL veterans Corktown WFC. The Detroit-based club finished fourth in Great River Division play in 2025.

West Region - NorCal Conference- Sacramento Valley Division
First-year Yuba Football Club jumps straight into the fire on the road against California Storm as both clubs kick off Sacramento Valley Division play. The five-time WPSL champions Storm look to get over its tough loss to Sporting CT in the WPSL Championships final in 2025. Last season Storm cruised to its third consecutive NorCal Conference title enroute to its second straight WPSL Championships final appearance. One of two of the league’s founding clubs, Storm is the winningest team in WPSL history entering its 28th season with an 250-26-55 all-time record.

After a successful season in WPSL’s Division II in 2025, Vale SC’s first test in the top-flight will be against fellow league debutant, Inter Connecticut FC. The two new clubs will face a stiff test for honors of the top team in the state with the reigning WPSL champions, Sporting Ct.

Central Region - Midwest Conference- Heartland Division
Kansas City Current II returns to WPSL play in grand fashion hosting FC Wichita at the newly opened 2,000 seat Riverside Stadium, which is part of the NWSL side’s expansive headquarters and training facility. After three seasons of exhibition play, the NWSL side’s second team returns to full WPSL play after going 2-2-3 in 2025: 2-1-0 versus WPSL sides. In 2022, the Current II’s only full WPSL season, the club went a perfect 8-0-0 in conference play before falling in the Central Region finals. Entering its sixth WPSL season, FC Wichita enters 2026 coming off a fourth-place division finish going 3-3-4 in 2025.

Fuego Femenil opens its first WPSL campaign hosting league veterans Lamorinda United, which finished 2025 fourth in division play going 4-1-3. Entering its sixth WPSL season, Lamorinda United is 30-7-9 over-all.

South Region - Mississippi Delta Conference
Little Rock Rangers SC returns to WPSL play after a lengthy hiatus, opening its 2026 schedule at home versus Hattiesburg FC. Hattiesburg FC finished second in division play in its debut WPSL season, going 4-2-2, outscoring opponents 22 to 16.

East Region - Northeastern Conference
Sporting CT kicks off its WPSL title defense on the road with a mid-week clash versus expansion side Inter Connecticut FC. Sporting ran roughshod through the Northeastern Conference in 2025, the club’s WPSL debut season, going 9-0-1 in conference play, outscoring opponents 37 to 10. With its postseason run, Sporting CT is 13-0-1 in all-time WPSL play.

District Elite FC hosts Arlington SA U21s midweek in both club’s WPSL debut on the Campus of The Catholic University of America in Washington D.C.

Vermont Wild FC returns to WPSL play after a two-year hiatus hosting second-year club, Albany Rush. Vermont is 16-6-6 all-time, with one postseason appearance in 2022 falling in the East Region Final. Albany Rush looks to build on its two-win season in Northeastern Conference play last year.

Future FC makes its WPSL debut on the road facing experienced side ALBION San Diego in both club’s season opener. ALBION enters its seventh WPSL season with a 10-6-24 over-all.

Central Region - Midwest Conference - Gateway Division
Expansion side Missouri Rush faces a tough test in its inaugural WPSL match when it travels to 2025 Gateway Division winners, Lou Fusz Athletic. Lou Fusz went an unbeaten 7-1-0 in division play in 2025 before falling in the Midwest Conference final. In its three WPSL seasons, Lou Fusz is 15-3-10 overall.

Looking to build on its surprise run to the WPSL Championships semifinals, Chattanooga FC kicks off its fifth WPSL season on the road in a midweek clash versus 865 Alliance. In 2025, Alliance went unbeaten in divisional play, going 7-1-0. Chattanooga finished the regular season 5-1-1 before winning the conference championship and South Region Playoffs to finish 8-1-2 on the season.

West Region – Mountain West Conference – Rockies Division
WPSL stalwarts Colorado Pride welcomes expansion side Glacier FC to open the season for both clubs on the picturesque campus of Colorado College. Always a division title contender, Pride 5-0-3 in Rockies Division play last season, and is 29-3-15 overall with a trip to the regional semifinals in 2024.

After much fanfare, Texas Lone Star SC kicks off its debut WPSL season hosting Lone Star Conference champs for the last two seasons, Austin Rise FC. Austin went 7-1-2 in 2025 before falling in the Central Region Playoffs semifinal. Entering its fourth WPSL season Austin is 18-7-8 over-all.

Central Region - Northern Conference
Central Region winners in 2025, St. Croix Legacy’s quest to return to the postseason kicks off at home versus Joy AC. St. Croix went 6-1-1 in 2025 before its run to the WPSL Championships semifinal. Entering its fifth WPSL season, Joy AC finished eighth in the incredibly competitive Northern Conference in 2025.

South Region - Atlantic Conference - Carolinas Division
After joining the league in 2025, NCFC brought on a second team to compete in the WPSL. The expansion NCFC Navy makes its league and home debut in Week Six versus Soda City. The Columbia, S.C.-based club looks to be a good test for the NCFC expansion side after finishing at the bottom of the Carolinas Division last season.
